Colic surgery, and who you'd get a loan from (answer either or!)?
You know, I get equine insurance for my horses and it covers colic surgery completely. That was the plan I worked with with the company and my insurance is $16 per month per horse.I do have some emergency on the side but the insurance gives me a lot of confidence that my horses will get their care. I am unsure about the percentages, I would do the research but I am leaving my computer. I just wanted to give you that info. I had lost a horse to colic while I was working out of state for a few weeks and the barn director saw my boy laying down and rolling in the stall and didn't make him get up or check on his stomach...It was too late...I got a call from the vet to get permission to put him down. So I know what you mean, i would not want it to happen again and it was the worst thing in the world for me...So I would consolidate with a vet about this and talk to your vet about the details.
