How does the mind work (repost)?

When you are young, You learn patterns of behavior that will carry over to your later years. In saying that some use duragatory statements defaming others as a self righteous way to appease the insecurities they feel, You are correct. But in uming that being nice to everyone is a key to unlock every door, you are only partially correct. Not everyone is out looking for an emotional handout or a pat on the back...Some folks just want to be left alone and in the event that someone is "overly nice " to them, they feel threatened. But, You are young, so keep up the good work..But be careful who you are nice to...You may want to rid yourself of them someday due to co-dependance issues.
