Has anyone had sleep paralysis?

I had sleep paralysis last night! OMG! it was so scary...(internet says its witches/demons sitting on you making you unable to move) I was awake but couldnt move. Tried to kick my feet and scream , but NOTHING! Then I (thought it was my husband in my face in the middle of the night) But reading the internet it says that you hallucinate figures in your room...OMG! I guess it wasnt him! Have you ever had this happen? If you went to the Dr or neurologist , what did they say? I know its the REM waking up before your supposed to, But its some scary S%$T!!!!!!!!
